Los Incas. Más allá de un imperio
In March 2023, the MALI (Museo de Arte de Lima) invited members of ADÑ (Asociación de empresas de Diseño del Perú) to which we belong, to creatively design and propose merchandise inspired by the special exhibition: “Los incas. Más allá del imperio”.
A large-scale exhibition and the result of nearly four years of work. These items would be available for sale in the MALI gift shop from the exhibition’s opening in June until the end of the year.
Following our creative process and exploring numerous product options, we made an innovative decision: designing and producing a set of 3 unisex socks. These socks incorporate colors and shapes inspired by the exhibition, preserving the essence of our culture while bringing it into the modern era through a fashionable garment.
Through our creation, we aim to honor the iconicity and symbolism of Inca culture, initiating a dialogue between the past and present. We offer an interpretation of our cultural heritage, delving into the designs found in textiles, architecture, and craftsmanship that define it. This set of socks is more than just clothing to us; it’s an expression of the richness and evolution of our cultural identity.
